32 GB 2.5 inch SATA Gaming MLC Solid State Disk (Nearly Instant Data Access Technology)?
This is new to me in pc parts. It comes in 32gig and 64gig, is it to replace the hard drive; looks like it to me but not sure. Looks like it plugs into the pci express X1.
These are meant to compliment other physical disks with more reasonable capacities. The reason data access is almost instant is because it can access any cell within NAND at any given time this means that instead of using a physical read/write head it store data on a grid that can access any block almost instantly. What they usually don't tell you is how incredibly poorly solid state performs for everything else such as sequential read and write operations specially those involved from moving data from one volume to another. There are however solid state disks out that can easily perform very well with games but than you are stuck with not nearly enough storage, all the games on this machine swallow an easy 250+ GB and a solid state that size are astronomically expensive.
