Green Jade

can anyone tell me why my Jade plant is dropping its leaves? They are green and healthy looking.?

I;ve been watering it about once a week as suggested but haven't fertilized it. It is about 18" tall.Everyday i find about 3 perfectly good leaves lying under it.

A Jade plant is a succulent, and succulents don't need that much water...It's kind of like a desert plant, so I would water about once evry two weeks, or when it's really, really dry...I was told that a plant I have called Aloe Vera, should only be watered when it rains in Arizona, and you know how often it rains there...Very little...You can't imagine how hard it is for me to adhere to that, but it works!
