What happens after you beat the elite 4 in Pokémon Diamond/Pearl?

I wanted to get diamond, but when i went to the store they were sold out. But they did have a used pearl game for $18 so i have pearl. Currently in the game i'm at the part where you beat commander mars at the lake near twinleaf town. I know that i have to go to snowpoint now, but i was wondering what happens after you beat the elite 4 in this game.

After you beat the Elite Four, you need to go SEE every Pokemon in the Shinnoh Dex (except Manaphy). To see Palkia, you need to go to Celestic Town. After seeing all 150, go talk to Rowan, and he and Oak will give you the National Dex and Poke Radar.
