Silver Bangle Is there any religious significance in wearing a silver bangle?
I'm not sure, but I think I saw some Punjabis wear a silver bangle (can't remember which hand). I was just wondering if there's any religious significance in wearing the bangle in any religion.. Can anybody help? Thx.
Yes, they are religious symbols of sikhism. A sikh must carry on person 5 K's ie Kesh= hair not to be cut for purity, Kanga= comb for the hair, Kucha= underwear for comfort during service, Kadha= bangle worn in the right hand and Kirpan= dagger as a preparedness for war.
These are the things a "Khalsa" has to carry. Lot of hindus also visit the sikh temples and enjoy listening to the good message in most religions and thus punjabi hindus may also sport a Kadha however donot sport the turban which is peculiar to sikhs.
