How do you tie a knot inside a clamshell tip?

I just started beading and already made a few necklaces using nymo. I've tried to finish off the necklaces with clamshell tips, but I can never seem to get the knot directly inside the clamshell.

When you first begin your project you should tie the knot a couple of times - making sure it is large enough not to go through the hole of the cup. Then slide the cup over the knot with the hook end facing outward. Add your beads and when you get to the other end of the project slide your cup on the string and begin to tie the knot (use a awl or a pair of knotting tweezers to tighten the knot inside of the cup). The tweezers make it so much easier to secure the knott up tight.
